We track Kaldewei’s success in the luxury bath segment and discover what makes this company unique.
Kaldewei’s products exude a rare kind of bravura and style. The products are manufactured using advanced and eco-friendly technologies and innovation, with reputed designers called upon to design them. Kaldewei distinguishes itself in its use of a special enamel, so exquisite and durable, that it is touted to last for 30 years at the very least. One of the most prestigious bath manufacturers in the world, the 60 awards including the Red Dot, iF and Design Plus awards that the company has accrued stands testimonial to Kaldewei’s hold in the luxury bath segment.
The products are made using premium steel enamel 3.5 mm that is manufactured in Kaldewei’s enamelling ovens in Germany. The enamel surface provides distinct benefits: it is resistant to acids and chemicals, is heat resistant, impact resistant, it does not fade and is also lightfast. Steel and glass are embroiled in a bond in Kaldewei’s steel enamel, whence the strengths of each material are harnessed in perfect synergy.
Moreover, the bathtubs and shower trays manufactured using Kaldewei steel enamel 3.5 mm lend themselves to recycling at the close of their lifetime, making them eco-sustainable.
In the modern world today, the space of the bathroom is reserved not just for the purposes of hygiene. It has become a place where one can rejuvenate oneself. Kaldewei’s baths, showers and washbasins are designed to achieve this purpose meeting the highest standards of design and quality along the way.
Among its collections of baths includes the Meisterstücke collection comprising free-standing baths that are seamless with perpendicular outsides, each coming with an enamelled overflow and waste cover. The baths also have optional Comfort Select controls and other special features and accessories.
Kaldewei’s baths come in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, designed as its products are to meet individual needs, besides regular baths. They include oval baths, corner baths, hexagonal and octagonal baths, and special baths.
Its showers are designed so as to maximise comfort and offer freedom of movement. Diversified into the segments Avantgarde, Ambiente and Advantage, the showers are designed so as to blend with the aesthetics of the bathroom and are also easy to clean.
Shower trays come in an array of colours and can be supplied with varied surface finishes that include anti-slip, full anti-slip and also trays containing decorative patterns.
Kaldewei’s washbasins are robust, tough but also stylish. Its Meisterstücke Emerso washbasin has been designed by well-known designer Arik Levy.
This washbasin’s minimalist elegance is enjoined with flowing lines to produce a unique, stylish product. A free-standing washbasin, it lends a sense of luxury to the bathroom and goes exquisitely with the Meisterstücke bath, which has also been designed by Levy.
A bath solution, different from the others, has been recently released by the company and is called Skin Touch.
The water in the bath is infused with micro sized air bubbles through a jet, bubbles touted to be 50 to 100 times smaller than those used in a conventional whirl bath. This release is said to raise the oxygen concentration of the water. The micro bubble gives the effect of relaxation and rejuvenation, substantiated by the mood light that creates an ambience of luxury.
