This engineered stone with synergised colours, designs and patterns, serves multiple purposes for both interior and exterior spaces.
A stone extracted out of nature and then developed technologically, Kalingastone lends itself to a wide application. The designs and patterns of this stone, widely available in nature, are inspired by nature and also reflect it. Produced by the Classic Marble Company (CMC) which has been dedicated to sourcing natural marble stones from over 20 countries, Kalingastone epitomises engineered innovation.
On a commercial basis, the production of this stone commenced in 2009. It started out as a green field project for manufacturing agglomerate marble and quartz, culminating into a production of Kalingastone by the Classic Marble Company, a stone that has since been increasingly utilised for flooring. Its development is reflective of the combination of Italian designs and advanced technology, for a standard of living that is at once stylish and elegant.
The company manufactures several products out of Kalingastone. Under the collection of Esclusiva, the products include Calcutta Gold, Crema Nova and Emperador Scuro.
Calcutta Gold consists of a creamy background with gold veins floating in it. The regular grey-coloured spots on the overall whitish background lend a unique look to the marble.
As against spots and gold veins, the Crema Nova has quite a uniform background. It is beige in colour with medium grain. This product is most commonly applicable for interior spaces.
The most striking of the products in the collection however is Emperador Scuro. Its background is dark brown in colour, and there are abundant white veins that run through it. This product gives an elegant look when blended with marbles of other, lighter colours such as white or cream.
The Kalingastone products are available in dimensions of 304 x 125 cm in standard thickness of 1.2 / 1.6/ 1.8 cm depending on their application.
They can be used for both commercial and residential projects, and applied for floors, facades, backsplashes, vanities, staircases, the fireplace, walls and bathrooms.
The other features of the products include consistency in size, consistency of colour, minimum wastage and low porosity. The products can also be re-polished.
